Originality is Imperative

The submission of the author (s) recorded on the title page must be their original work.

Furthermore the submission must not have been published nor accepted for publication, and must not be currently considered for publication elsewhere.

Please note if your submission is an example of the following, it will be considered for publication:

  • The oral presentation of your submission at a research seminar.
  • A submission that has been subject to revision and extensions after the oral presentation at a research seminar.
  • The inclusion of your submission in a research seminar working paper series.
  • The oral presentation of a submission at a conference.
  • A submission that has been subject to revision and extensions after the oral presentation at a conference.
  • The inclusion of your submission in conference proceedings.

Direct (verbatim) quoting from someone else's published or unpublished work or the authors' own published work, without proper attribution is considered plagiarism and grounds for rejection or cancellation of acceptance. Including the source in the reference list is not sufficient attribution by itself. Even arguably routine details from a published paper with identical authorship to the submission should be rephrased, not simply copied in large blocks.
